All I have to say about this is....What the heck?!? This ensemble was featured at the Fashion East Menswear Presentation during London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 on September 23, 2009 in London, England.
Maybe I am just old-fashioned, but I don't believe Jackie O. would ever approve of this.
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Is this statement too much? Does this exceed the boundaries of "art" and "fashion"?

Only one thing really comes to mind when I look at that outfit. Something along the lines of EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI second that ewww....
ReplyDeletehe looks like an S&M puffer fish :P
Ummm...I think it is a little too S&M for me...actually, WAY to S&M for me. EVER.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at TiLT's S&M puffer fish...funny 'cause it's true.
Seriously, how the heck do they ever expect that to be translated into everyday fashions???
Haha I love the puffer fish comment! That's so true - there's no way these can be worked into everyday fashions. I think fashion is getting out of hand - this could qualify as ART, but not fashion (certainly not my type of art, but I don't discriminate!). Fashion, to me, is something you can WEAR!
ReplyDeleteLOL I thought of PinHead from that movie about the cubes .. oh whats the name of it .. they made like 4 or 5 i wanna say lol
ReplyDeleteand i agree with the puffer fish hahah
Icky!!!

ReplyDeleteI think it would be great for a Halloween Costume :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll get this for my boyfriend for Christmas...LMAO! Seriously...who would wear this!!!
ReplyDeletePinhead, exactly! Um, he'd be a lot of fun at a birthday party. Pin the baloon on the pin head! lol
ReplyDeletePhantasm was the movie... pretty creepy stuff.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha. Many years ago there was a game they played on Bozo the Clown... you had 60 seconds (I think) to stuff as many balloons into a pair of clown pants, then Bozo would pop them to see how many you got. This guy would totally ruin the game. ;)
Puffer fish it is, also GROSS!
ReplyDeleteit's not even unique! it's vinyl bike shorts with a zipped vest with a spiky mask. Unless this was part of a performance art, I wouldn't considerate it terribly artistic much less fashion
